Envisuality Group is an advisor-led practice dedicated to the improvement of the built environment. We combine development strategy, entitlement management, and architectural design to turn complex sites into profitable, sustainable, and architecturally vibrant spaces. By considering feasibility, design, lead time and delivery from the outset, we give clients a clearer path from early vision to built form.

Hayes Shair, RA, LEED AP
Founder & Principal
Hayes Shair, AIA, LEED AP, is an architect, real estate developer, and strategic advisor with eighteen years of experience across design, entitlements, development, and construction. A UC Berkeley graduate with a Master’s degree from Columbia University, he has worked as an architect, design-build contractor, and developer—experience that informs Envisuality Group’s integrated approach to complex projects.
Hayes specializes in constrained infill sites and complex approvals, connecting early feasibility, entitlement strategy, architectural design, consultant coordination, project management, and owner representation into a coherent path from concept to construction. His work spans affordable and market-rate multifamily housing, high-end single-family residences, condominiums, townhouse communities, gut renovations, master plans, and hillside subdivisions.
A committed housing advocate, Hayes believes thoughtful design and development can expand opportunity and strengthen communities. He supports Habitat for Humanity, Abode Housing, and BRIDGE Housing, and is a member of AIA East Bay.
